I remember the insurrection like it was yesterday. I remember watching it unfold on national tv. My heart broke that day, and every day since, because people will not call a coup a coup.

As more and more facts unfold, the conservative right wants Americans to focus on the unfinished southern wall that wastes taxpayer money. Or, they push false gasoline prices as being President Biden’s fault. I realize it’s all they have because there is no defense of their coup, but the idiocy of their supporters leaves me dumbfounded.

Facts matter! A sitting Supreme Court justice needs to explain his and his wife’s part in this. The DOJ needs to arrest some people higher up the food chain. Subpoenas need to be enforceable and people need to wake up to the fact that there appears to be another set of laws for these people.

I am heartbroken but I am also angry. I am angry that these criminals get to walk around, spouting the “Big Lie” over and over again with no consequences. I am angry that the GOP lies to its constituents while asking for money. And, I’m angry that people just don’t seem to care.
